Artist's Description

"Classified" was painted live at the legendary Bowery Poetry Club in New York City during a music variety show where I was featured as a special guest painter. Like many of my live paintings, I draw energy and inspiration from the music, performers, and audience.

This painting offers it's viewer a close relationship with the live DJ - whose musical selections often remain "classified" to the audience as he organically keeps the crowd under his spell. It was an honor to create this work as part of my on going documentation of New York City's independent music scene.

"Classified" makes a great conversation piece in any space that welcomes it!

Who doesn't love a great DJ?
